Contributors accepted invitation but don't show up in contributor & author list

Hi. I have invited several people to my private blog as contributors. Two of them faced problems with the sign-up-process and accepted the invitation, but somehow not the direct way.
In my invitations list they now have the status “accepted”. However, they don’t show in the contributors list, nor in the list of the author widget.

Hi, thanks for answering! The usernames are melinajulie and lupitabloggt. They ought to have contributor-status but seem to be readers only. Unfortunately I’m not able to change their status myself.

Hi, I have forgotten to say that these users (melinajulie and lupitabloggt) are listed as “contributors”/accepted in the invitations list, but they are NOT listed in the “all users” list and NOT listed in the public authors-widget.

I’m facing the same problem. I want to invite my students at an FE college to contribute to a blog. Would I have to notify you of their user names to get things to work?

I should have said that I’ve tried it out with this person but she can’t contribute.
