Contributors – can they reply to comments on their posts?
-
Just wondering if my contributors can log into the dashboard to hit “reply” to comments on their posts? It would be nice to allow them that option since they would like to reply directly to comments to their own posts (rather than just having to enter a comment of their own).
ALSO, when there are 2 or more comments on one of my posts, I only seem to be able to hit “reply” to the most recent one. — i.e. the first comment is no longer showing a “reply” option underneath it. Does anyone know why this is?
Thank you thank you thank you!

Question: Contributors – can they reply to comments on their posts?
Answer: No. Please see here for what contributors can and cannot do. Their role in the Admin panel is deliberately limited. http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/Regarding your second question please check your Discussion page settings and be enabled “nested” comments deeper than 2 replies by changing the number in the dropdown where I have inserted ___ below.
Settings > Discussion
Other comment settings
.
Enable threaded (nested) comments __ levels deep
Then click “Save Changes” -
