Control ad placement location on free wordpress

  Is it possible to have some control over where ads are places on a free WordPress site? They are going in the worst possible location, and it is leading to people not seeing the last few lines of some pages.

  WP.com: Yes
  Jetpack: No
  Correct account: Yes

  Ads shouldn’t overlap your own content. Can you point to a page where this is happening.

  It was literally showing up between lines of text. I’d prefer not to share the actual link in a public forum. It is a fundraising effort for my son. Here is a screenshot. This one isn’t quite as bad as earlier, but it is literally in the middle of the text. On a mobile device, nobody is even going to see what is after the last ad.

  I’m just going to upgrade the plan for 4 months. It says in the documentation that they can show inline ads.
  “Our ads appear at the bottom of posts, in a sidebar, or as a banner on your site. On selected themes, an inline ad might be shown in the post, well below the first or second paragraph, or scattered throughout a blog post.”

  Have you checked this on other devices. It may just be a particular browser or mobile device at fault. Remember that different people in different parts of the country/world are shown different ads.

  Hi @mkwpress — they shouldn’t overlap the text. They will sometimes show between paragraphs, but if they’re showing over your text (aside from a bar at the top overlapping as your content scrolls under it, if that makes sense), please grab a few unedited screenshots and upload them to your media library: https://wordpress.com/media

  Just to check, are you referring to the black bars in the screenshot above?

  It appears that the purple WooCommerce advertisement isn’t overlapping with the text – it is not covering the text up.

  As staff-zinnia mentioned, they will sometimes show between paragraphs; I did want to check if this is what you’re referring to?
