Control HTML changing

My blog involves a lot of R code, and I have unending problems with WordPress changing my blog’s text, which renders the code I type incorrect, or prevents it from showing. I can accept stripping iframes or javascript, but please add a feature so that WordPress does not autoformat my code. It ends up destroying it.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

Can you please provide more details on what is happening?

    What editor do you use?

What steps do you follow to add the code?

Are you using the code-shortcode to embed your code?

Do you have screen shots of what happens? A link to a specific post where it has happened?

It’s impossible to investigate, confirm and report an error if you don’t provide any details that will allow us to see the error and to attempt to reproduce it.

You can find instructions on how to embed source code on WordPress.com here:

    Posting Source Code

If the code you are using is not supported we can look at the possibility of adding support for it, but we cannot guarantee that we’ll be able to add support for any coding language and we cannot guarantee that the shortcode will work correctly with any language not currently supported.
