Controlling font sizes based on screen width and orientation
-
I’m using the Duet theme.
Can anyone tell me how to increase or decrease the font size and maintain that size when the mobile device is rotated to horizontal?
Thank you.

Hi, I can’t see any specific CSS that would change the font size from horizontal to vertical on a phone, but I do see that it is doing that. I’ll have to get my phone tethered to my computer in order to find out exactly what is happening, and that will be about a half hour (left the cable in the car and the car is gone).

I’ve inspected your site in portrait and landscape mode and see no change in the CSS between the two. I also checked the Duet Demo site, and it displays the same change between portrait and landscape mode, but again, I don’t see anything in the CSS. When I view the responsive layouts using my Web Developer Firefox Add-on, it reveals no difference in the CSS either between views. I can only assume the change in size is happening with the theme files themselves and we cannot edit those files.
Since Duet is a Premium theme, you have direct access to the theme designer. I would suggest posting in the Duet Premium Theme Support forum and have a chat with the theme designer.

Thank you for your detailed response.
I had previously contacted the theme designer. And for this question, he referred me to this forum.

Did you contact them through the Premium theme support forum here, the one I linked to or did you reach out in a different way, such as at their website?
If you reached out in the Premium support forum for Duet here at WordPress.com, do you have a link to that thread?

Here on wordpress.com in regular Themes support, not Premium.
I’m sorry, but I’m unable to locate the thread.

The Duet theme is a premium theme and has a dedicated support forum at http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/duet
You can see your past forum threads from that forum at http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/profile/willandpatty
It looks like they sent you to the CSS forums for your question about controlling font sizes based on screen width and orientation:
http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/topic/unable-to-change-duet-paragraph-spacing?replies=7#post-46691I checked http://willandpattyroadtrips.com/ and I see that you are using the mobile theme. The mobile theme actually switches the theme to a completely different one that’s mobile-friendly. The first question is, do you want to be using the mobile theme or the Duet theme on mobile?
Here is some information about how the mobile theme works:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/mobile-themes/After you decide that, we should be able to help you here with changing the font size for mobile landscape views. However, if you switch off the mobile theme itself, that might work better for you (it will depend on whether you like that them or not and how much custom CSS you have added and how it interacts with the other theme).
