Controlling links on blog roll
-
Links on my blog roll are listed in alphabetical order. I added ratings to get links with content related to my blog in top order. This doesn’t work. Why add ratings, when I can’t influence order within blog roll? No manual helpful.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
1. Log on to WordPress.com
2. go to http://katevents.wordpress.com/wp-admin
3. Link –> All Links
4. Click on the Word “Rating” above/below the Rating column
5. The links will be sorted ascending according to rating
6. If you click again, the Blogroll links will be sorted descending based on rating.– Hope that helps.

Hi Yoga1103,
Thanks – tried that several times in the past. When you fiddle with the blog links and ratings and use the toggle above/below the Rating column, the links are listed as you say …. But not when you go to the blog as a visitor and have a log at someone’s blog-roll.
So basically: wordpress offers a rating function for the links on one’s blog roll which looks cute to the administrator – and does f*ck all when visitors are reading posts and someone’s blog roll. -
Hi,
You can definitely sort your links for your visitors in your “Link Widget” setting. https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/links-widget/
You can see the second dropdown option in the Link Widget settings is “Sort By”, if you choose “Link ratings” and click the “Save & Publish” button, your links will be sorted according to your ratings for the visitors.
Hope that helps.
– best,
