Controlling what goes on your home page, not most recent post.
-
On my blog, I would like to have multiple pages that when you categorize you post or use tags for the post, the post goes directly to that specific page and doesn’t go to the home page. Is that possible?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you want a static home page with no posts on it at all, what you are asking is possible. Here’s what you do:
1) create the new page for the blog posts. (for example, you might create a page with the title “Blog”. Note: this step is necessary even if you don’t want a full list of your posts to show up anywhere on the site. I’ll explain at the bottom of this post what you need to do to “hide” the blog page.
2) Go to the “reading” tab under the “settings” menu and under “Front Page Displays” choose “a static page”
3) From the dropdown menu, choose which page you want to be your new front page, and then choose the page you created (“Blog” in the example” as the new location of your posts.
4) Under the “appearance” tab, go to “menus.” From here you choose the links you want to show up in your menu bar. If you don’t want the full list of posts to show up on your site, simply leave the “blog” page you created out of the menu. To add the categories pages, choose the categories you want to appear as separate pages from the left column to add them to the right column.
5) Click “save menu” and you should be set.
