Convert blog html to xhtml?

Ok. I get the difference between html and xhtml. And I can see that my blog’s (www.showmeoz.wordpress.com) doctype source is in fact html. From what I’ve just read, blog crawlers will reject or ignore the site because it isn’t xhtml. And frankly, I just don’t understand how I to change it. A gentle nudge appreciated here….
    Thanks

There is no way to change the doctype here at WordPress.com. The information timethief gave will make your posts and pages automatically include closing tags if you forget them and reformat some of the HTML if needed but otherwise will make no difference. Where did you read that your site won’t be indexed because of this?

Thanks. Recently I read the bit about xhtml on a blog called Words In a Row, but I’ve seen in other places, as well. Are you saying that isn’t so?

It is definitely wrong. Most sites on the web are html rather than xhtml and get picked up by crawlers and appear in search engines without any problem.

Cool – thanks a bunch! One less thing to deal with.
