convert expired domain to regular wordpress blog extension

I want to move my blog from an expired domain to a regular wordpress extension. My domain, myculinarycompanion.com, that I purchased through wordpress expired and I do not want to renew. I just want the culinarycompanion.wordpress.com site and I can’t access anything, please help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is no “moving” required if you were mapping from the underlying .wordpress.com blog to the domain URL. I’ll tag this thread for Staff to remove the domain mapping for you.

Try these steps while waiting for the staff
Try canceling the Domain Mapping:
Dashboard >> Store >> My Upgrades >> see if the mapping can be canceled – domain mapping has a bit of a “grace period” where it continues to work for a while – not sure about canceling domain mapping if it has expired
Then reset the Primary Domain
Dashboard >> Store >> Domains >> click on your WordPress.COM address – then Update Primary Domain –

If your domain expired or you don’t want to use it anymore, you can switch back to your free WordPress.com address by updating the primary domain for your blog, as auxclass mentioned.
Please keep in mind that to make changes like this, you’ll need to be logged in to the WordPress.com account that is an administrator on the blog. Your account garnetrose67 isn’t an administrator on this blog, so you won’t be able to make those changes from this account.
If you’d like any further help with this, I just need the request to come from the account that’s an administrator on the blog (the same account used to purchase the domain originally). That user can reply to this thread to confirm the request, and I’ll be happy to help with any changes at that point. :)
