Convert Flickr Image URL to tiny image with link

    Hello,

    I do not know if this is possible to do with wordpress at this moment. I would like to post a Flickr Photo with a link to the flickr page (for comments).
    I would like to use something that convert the simple URL for the flickr photo to the Photo+Link Url.

    Example:
    I want to post this photo:
    http://flickr.com/user/photo1

    When i paste that in my wordpress it shows the photo. Great.

    I would like that automatically it generate a link to the same url in case that somebody wants to view the higher resolution or make a comment.

    Is that possible?

    It is not possible LITERALLY the way you said. What you can do is either type in the link yourself below the image and put it in like a regular link OR when you’re putting in the image in the first place, choose Link to File as the option close to the end of the upload box, where it says Link to None, Link to File, Link to Page.

    I always take the long route and insert the image, then click on the image in the visual editor and add in the link there. That way I can put in alt text and set it to open in a new window all at once.

    Also not sure if this is what you’re looking to do but have you linked your flickr account to your WordPress.com blog? http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/flickr-photos/ If so, you can use flickr’s Share “BlogThis” function.
