Convert my blogs name without the wordpress attached

    If I convert my blog to one without the .wordpress in the URL from you – do I get redirects for people who are currently following me and using the full URL with .wordpress in it?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    What you’re trying to do here is called using a “Custom Domain” (Here for more info: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/register-domain/)

    People who opened your site using the .wordpress.com address will indeed be redirected to the domain without .wordpress.com. From the help page:

    On WordPress.com, you can register a custom domain (for example, yourgroovydomain.com) and use it instead of your blog’s current address (such as yourgroovysite.wordpress.com). Your old address will still work, but we will automatically redirect traffic from your old address to your new one.
