Convert to audio option not appearing
-
I linked my WP blog to my Anchor FM account, but the convert to audio option is not appearing when I go to publish the post. Not sure what I’m doing wrong but have tried logging out and back in on Anchor and WP.

Currently, Anchor is only making this available to _new_ Anchor accounts created via https://anchor.fm/wordpressdotcom

Thank you. I did set up a new Anchor account through the link, linked it to my Word Press account and am still not getting the option to convert to audio. I also tried deleting my new Anchor account and setting it up again with the wordpress link and still no convert to audio option. It seems to be a glitch that I need some tech support to resolve.

Hi there,
What site from under your account are you trying to connect Anchor to? I see you have several self-hosted sites connected via Jetpack under your account and Anchor does not currently work with self-hosted sites, only sites hosted on WordPress.com.
Let us know, thanks.

Here is the blog site I was trying to test it with:

Many thanks :)

The problem is that the site is Private, so Anchor can’t access it to convert. Your site must be publicly accessible: https://wordpress.com/support/settings/privacy-settings/

Thank you for the suggestion. I made the site public and am still not getting the option to convert to audio when I click publish. Even though I set up a new Anchor account through the wordpress link, it brought in episode information from my existing Anchor account and made the episode descriptions posts in the wordpress blog. I tried deleting the new Anchor account and created a new one from the link and it still imported episodes from my other Anchor account. Not sure what to do at this point.

Hi,
Even though I set up a new Anchor account through the wordpress link, it brought in episode information from my existing Anchor account and made the episode descriptions posts in the wordpress blog.
It kind of looks like the sample site already has older podcasts on it. Were these posts previously published on another site?
Would you be willing to test with a new site and a test post, all public? Also, just to confirm, are you using this flow?
Lastly, could you also get in touch with Anchor to see if they have any feedback on what’s happening here?
