Converting a Page to a blog post

  Some of my posts were put on new pages, but I realize now that they should not have been on a page, but should have just been another blog post. Is there a way to move some from being a page to being a blog post? btw this is in reference to wordpress.com

  Hi. There is no tool for converting a page to a post, but it can be easily accomplished as follows:

  1. Copy and paste the content of the page editor window (preferably using text mode) into a post editor window.
  2. Do the same with the title, or simply type it into the title field.
  3. Add categories, tags, excerpts, etc. as desired.
  4. Publish the post.

  Note that if the page contains a gallery or slide show, where the images are attached to that page, deleting the page will result in loss of the gallery or slide show in the post. To avoid this will require either creating a new gallery in the post, or retaining the page in published or default status.
