Converting old blog to one printed copy.

    If you provide a convincing and comprehensible answer, you might make a tiny sliver of profit for WordPress. I need help with http://modestypress.wordpress.com/.

    I am 69 years old. I am not completely demented yet, but I am getting there rapidly. I kept a blog about my granddaughter from 2007 to 2011. I want to convert it from blog form to printed form. I don’t want a thousand books printed. I don’t need binding. I just need to figure out how to get the current blog printed from word processing.

    I was computer literate at one time, but technology has passed me by. I am not completely broke, but I have to watch every penny and don’t want to spend money on something that does not meet my needs. I run a ragged old clinging to life desktop PC (no “smart phones for me”) which is “dual boot” Ubuntu12 Linux and Windows 7. I am most comfortable with word processing. To save money, I use Open Office and don’t want to buy a current version of Word or use Google cloud. I want to add written comments from now (2013), include all the comments from blog readers in 2007 through 2011), make corrections to typographic errors and print out 1 (one) printed copy to put away for my granddaughter in 2022 when she will be 21 years old. My blog, while not offensive, is too mature for a nine year old girl. At one time, I knew basic HTML, but I get totally lost in XML and my efforts to convert my blog by myself for free are totally over my head.

    Apparently I can hire a Word Press “Happiness Engineer” [Excuse me a second while I puke my breakfast up at the stupidity of the job title] for about $140. I don’t want to spend that much money (difficult but not impossible for me) and not get my unreasonable desires met by a young whippersnapper who can’t do what I want and can’t communicate with a rude old disrespectful senile atheistic crackpot like me. So convince me that it will be worth the money for me. Thank you.

    I am still fairly healthy, but I find out tomorrow if I have fatal prostate cancer, so I would like to get this done before I die.
