Converting posts to pages and then getting them in the Recent Posts widget
-
I had just entered posts but I want to change the look now so that only my home page appears. I want to convert my posts to pages and have the pages show under the widget Recent Posts. I figured out how to copy the posts, in text format, to create a page but I don’t know how to move the new page to the widget.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
I want to convert my posts to pages and have the pages show under the widget Recent Posts
Posts can’t be converted to pages. You may copy and paste the content of each post into the content of a page, one at a time, as you say you figured out how to do. Secondly, a page will never appear in the Recent Posts widget, which as the name indicates is solely for posts.
A couple options available would be the following:
1. Pages Widget
2. List Pages Shortcode inserted into a text widget -

I see. thank you for enlightening me. Why does my blog title not show up under recent posts? It only shows the month and year of the blog.

The item “July 2017” in the widget titled “Recent Posts” links to an archives page, not to a post. This indicates that the widget is not a Recent Posts widget. I suspect that it’s an Archives widget.
