  What’s involved in dropping the “wordpress.com and just going to Coachdougbowers.com? Do I need a different host? Is there much expense involved?

  You can do this with the domain registration and mapping upgrades

  About.. $ 5– Register a Domain Name + $ 12– Domain Mapping – – or $ 17– a year. Domain name registration varies a bit from Registrar but WordPress.COM is as low cost as anybody.

  The costing also shows if you pick Dashboard >> Upgrade >> information on costing should be there.

  The costs don’t show until you fill out the form to do the upgrade and get to the part about payment options. I just did this, and did not know about the extra fee for a private registration until I got to the pay part of it.

  Costs should be explained somewhere to help us make this upgrade decision before we begin the upgrade process.

  The costs are shown in the “upgrades” section in your blog dashboard (near the top right under “dashboard” section.
