Converting to short code
-
Hi there
I’ve read all about how iframe embed links aren’t allowed on wordpress.com but I have read that you can get some things to work by converting to a wordpress short code. (https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-to-embed-a-stitched-panorama-picture-thanks?replies=11)
Would anyone be able to help me convert this iframe to a short code that will work on my WP.com site?
<iframe src=”http://www.gigapan.com/gigapans/168801/options/nosnapshots,fullscreen/iframe/flash.html?height=250″ frameborder=”0″ height=”300″ scrolling=”no” width=”100%”></iframe>
Thanks

Hi there.
You can’t convert any iframe to a shortcode, but only for services that are specifically supported, listed here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/category/shortcodes/
The gigya shortcode does work in certain circumstances, but it’s not actually supported, so there’s no official documentation on using it.
I tried converting it for you using the instructions here: https://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/07/22/gigya-shortcode-3-widgets/ but I’m afraid I can’t get it to work. I suggest you try using one of the other services mentioned in the thread you linked above instead, or export that picture as a JPEG if possible and just upload it to your blog normally.
