Cookie banner won't go away even clicking on the button Close and Accept
-
Hello, I created a free blog and the cookie message is appearing stuck to the bottom of the page (not floating over the page like usual). And even if the user clicks to Close and Accept, the message doesn’t disappear. Can you help me? My blog is: [redacted]

Sorry if I did something wrong, I see the address of my blog appears as [redacted] now, I thought it was fine to put the link here since I noticed some people doing the same…

Hi there, no worries. Your site address is visible to Staff.
Concerning the cookies banner, if you added the widget in the Customizer, it might be conflicting with the cookie banner that WordPress.com has added by default to all its free websites. Try removing the banner you added and see if that doesn’t solve this for you.
Let us know how that goes.

Oh, that’s nice! Yes, before creating this post I was reading similar posts and I tried to find this widget, but I can’t find it, the only widgets I can see are text and search bar at the sidebar.

Hi there,
Thanks for reporting this. Looks like there’s a bug affecting how the widget behaves on sites that are set to mature.
I’ve reported the issue to our developers. I’ll update here once it is fixed.
