Can I add a pop-up cookie message? In my country it is leagally aquired to have a pop-up or other means of informing the visitor about cookies being used and forthe user to agree or deny that. How do I install such a pop-up on my WordPress blog?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there,
Pop-up messages require third-party code that cannot be installed on WordPress.com sites. This is a security risk as we cannot vet all outside code and it puts our users, their sites, and our servers at risk.
This type of code is only usable on self-hosted WordPress.org sites.
I know the difference between .com and .org can get confusing, so here’s a breakdown of the benefits of each:

Thanks so much.

Thank you. I just wondered if such a popup was a possibility in WordPress. I have put a cookie message on a seperate page, that would suffice. A widget in the sidebar would also be a possibility.I can manage that.
Thanks again. Have a nice weekend. -
Thank you so much for letting me know. I’m glad the alternative will suffice for now.
If you ever decided to move to a self-hosted version of WordPress.org, you can add popups, but not on WordPress.com-hosted sites.
Wishing you all the best!
