cookies and ads

  I got on wordpress because I was told no ads. now they show up. not only that but now I find you are doing the cookie thing . I do NOT want my viewers tracked in any way shape or form! well maybe the country they come from but thats all. Is there a way to avoid both?

  Hi @anneshirl,

  The free plan on WordPress.com includes both advertising and the cookie banner, though upgrading to a paid plan allows you to remove these.

  thank you . I guess I hadnt read the fine print !! Its just that I have had the blog only a few months and today was the first that I noticed the ads and the saw the comment about cookies.
