Cookies – Close and Accept…its not closing

    The Cookies notification is not closing when you select ‘close and accept’. I have checked that cookies are enabled in the browser, tried using a custom policy (linking to WordPress’s cookie policy), tried removing and then adding the widget again but nothing is working. The page just refeshes when the close and accept button is selected: I am assuming this is why the notification keeps returning.
    Anyone been able to fix this?
    Wordpress Admin: are you able fix the widget/offer a solution?

    Hi all: I deleted the cookie widget and I found that the notification still appears (I have the free plan) but this time it does disapear when the ‘accept and continue’ option is selected.

    I didn’t have the widget running more than once in different places, so I am thinking that the cookie notification appears automatically on the free plan (?) and when I added the widget manually to my blog, that it created a conflict with the default notice (?). Strange though as it worked ok at the time I added the widget.

    Issue seems to be fixed for me…for now at least.

    Hi there,

    The problem here is that the notice appear by default on free sites, yes, and adding the widget on top of that is causing problems. This is a bug, and our developers are already working on a fix, but for now we recommend that you don’t use the widget on a free site.
