cooliris – can it be used in wp.com?
-
cooliris (formerly piclens) has a plugin that says it works for wordpress. I also understand the difference between wp.com and wp.org. Is there a solution to getting the plugin to work in wp.com, some workaround?
I have uploaded 200 jpg pictures into wp, and I can see them in the wp window. -

I suppose that that is a truthful answer, but not the complete truth and not as helpful as it could be.
As I understand it, if you host your wordpress blog on your own server, then you can use plugins.
So, I believe that in order to support cooliris on your blog, you must host your blog on your own server.
(Someone will correct me if I’m wrong here.)I want to do all of this too. Cooliris is the coolest UI feature in a long time.

You can not use plugins here at wordpress.COM. If you self-host your blog (hire a web host, register a domain name, install and configure the software from wordpress.ORG) then you can use plugins.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are totally different things as explained in the sticky post at the top of the forums: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/please-read-me-first-before-posting?replies=1
