Copied and pasted text loses formatting

  I have begun having problems when I copy and paste text from text files on my computer to my blog. The formatting (paragraphs, italics) is lost and the text simply pastes as a block of plain text . Clearing the cache and deleting the cookies has not helped. I would appreciate your assistance. With thanks.

  Normally, word processors like Microsoft Word are fine for producing documents to be shared or printed, but as a web publishing tool it is a little less than ideal and produces very messy HTML. The same applies when using Google Docs, OpenOffice, or other word processors. Therefore, we automatically strip this out.
