Copy a Blog?

  Hi… I’m in the process of setting up a blog side for LuxuryCaribbeanWeddings.co.uk which will be all about weddings in the Caribbean. I also own another domain name which is LuxuryCaribbeanHoneymoons.co.uk. The plan being that the honeymoons website will have the same feel and framework as the weddings website. Obviously some of the wording will need to change and images.

  I am just trying to find the quickest way to set up both sites without me having to start right back at the beginning and wondered if it was possible to Copy an entire blog? So once I have the LuxuryCaribbeanWeddings.co.uk “finished” as far as the framework is concerned, I could copy it and open LuxuryCaribbeanHoneymoons.co.uk exactly the same and the only mods would be swopping images and some text around.

  I know it’s possible to copy a post, which is really easy but before I start over again on a new blog wondered if this was possible?!

  …I think I know the answer but hoping I’m wrong!!!

  Please read this entry so you are crystal clear on the differences between free hosted WordPress.com blogs and self-hosted WordPress.org installs.

  Export files can be created for blog content and for links. However, you cannot export themes from free hosted WordPress.com blogs at all. You have to select and set them up separately in each blog.
