Copy A Post Button not working

The Copy A Post button in my dashboard does not work like it used to. I get the page for ‘Add New Post’. (‘Add New Post’ does not give me the Copy A Post page).
Does anybody know how to fix this? Thanks, AnnikaThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m on a Mac and I’m getting the same results as @andeweerdt on Firefox 12 and Safari 5.1.5.

It seems to be working well for me in Safari 5.1.5 and Firefox 11. Since Firefox 12 is in beta, we can’t provide support for it yet.
Can you give me a title of a post you’re trying to copy?

I am also on a Mac and use Safari 5.1.5
I am not trying to copy a specific post. I hit the Copy A Post button on the Dashboard, and then I usually can choose from a list of my posts, and then I pick one.
Nothing like that now, I get the regular ‘Add New Post’ page.But if you want a link to a post I would like to copy today, it is http://stofgenoeg.wordpress.com/2012/04/01/food-bom-hollandse-hap-bom-9/

I’m on a Mac, using Firefox 10.0.2 and I’m getting the same “Add New Post” when I click on “Copy A Post” button.
“Copy a PAGE” button does work… it gives me a list of the pages, and I can choose which to copy.

Hm, this is very weird. Do you have any add-ons or extensions in your browsers?
If so, would you mind testing with those disabled? I have seen some ad blocking extensions cause weirdness in the Dashboard.

I do have add-ons and extensions, and will disable them and try, however…
Safari and Chrome don’t have any extensions, they are completely pristine. And I get the same thing with both of them… clicking “Copy a Post” gives me the “Add New Post” screen instead. (And, again, it does work for “Copy a PAGE”… I get the correct screen.)

Yes, that’s trouble since I’m unable to reproduce the issue myself. Please let us know how it goes with add-ons and extensions disabled.

Sorry… I meant I have add-ons and extensions in Firefox.
I opened Firefox on my laptop (also a Mac) and cleared all cache and history, and disabled all extensions and add-ons and rebooted (and I really miss them!) and it is the same thing…
The “Copy a Post” gives me the “Add New Post” screen, with no options to choose which post to copy. The “Copy a PAGE” screen gives me the options of which page to copy.
I’m happy to try other things to help figure this out…

Hm, ok, let’s try updating to Firefox 12.
You can do that from the menu Firefox -> About Firefox.

I updated the laptop (Mac Book Pro, OS 10.6.8) to Firefox 12 and also updated to the newest Flash. With all add-ons and extensions disabled (and also with them enabled)
Same thing as above… the “Copy a Post” gives me the “Add New Post” screen, with no place to indicate which post to copy.
The “Copy a PAGE” does still work, correctly, opening an “Add New Page” screen, but with the options to choose which page to copy.

I just installed Chrome as browser, hoping that would allow me to use my Copy A Post button again.
Same problem remains.
I have no extensions or add-ons installed, no third-party firewalls or security applications. -
None… no additional firewalls or security applications.
It used to work, at some point in the past two weeks (when I started this blog) and stopped working.
On the laptop, I know for certain there haven’t been any changes or updates to any programs, or any additional programs added, other than the Firefox and Flash updates I did today.
I can’t swear that there haven’t been any updates to programs on the desktop in the past two weeks, I just don’t remember. I don’t think there have been.

Alright, so here’s what I’ll need to hopefully track this down.
1. The URL of the affected blog.
2. The title of the post you intend to copy.
I’ll give that a shot, and hopefully I can find some way to make the issue pop up.
