Copy a post feature doesn't work anymore?

When I’m trying to use the “copy a post” feature I get taken to the “add new post” page instead.
Does anyone have any idea why this happens and if I can do anything to put it right again? Or has the feature been disabled by WP?

Yes you should be taken to the Add new Post page, but directed down to the Copy Post section. Maybe the writer helper isn’t expanded (so click on it, and then the Copy Post section should become visible) or it isn’t there at all. In which case you need to go up to the Screen Options, and make sure the Writing Helper is ticked. If it still doesn’t come up, then maybe it’s a browser issue, in which case follow these steps here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

Sorry, I seem to have expressed myself poorly…
I’ve been clicking the “Copy a Post” link in my left sidebar – but instead of getting to chose which post I want to copy a new post is opened, ready to input text (Writing Helper is ticked).
I’v already cleared cache and cookies (just to be sure) and had the same problem with different browsers…
Could it be anything else? -
Ok, I don’t know what I did, but it seems to be working again now (no changes made since last time I tried…).

For me ‘copy apost’ STOPPED working today. (writing helper ticked).
As mentiones – click on copy a post – leads directly to crete new post
Anyone that knows/ can help? We need it working for our daily bread ..

I am so pleased I made the effort to use this forum – I usually just muddle through with semi intuition – or not… I would liken the writer helper function/bar to a drop down menu – although in my browser it doesn’t look like one and doesn’t have a tick box to tick – more like just a title bar. But if you mouse over “writer helper” and then left click – the posts to copy plus the “copy” option buttons appear below the title bar just like a drop down menu would. Having spent many an hour wondering why I can’t get “copy a post” to work, I think mainly this has been due to not understanding this simple function. So in future when I get this problem again I’ll go straight to clicking on the “writer helper” bar to get the “drop down menu” I too need this function for my daily bread….
