"copy a post" search feature not working
-
The search feature in “copy a post” is not working. I followed directions and searched by the exact title, but nothing comes up as a result. So I’m limited to copying only those posts that are in the box already. Too bad, because this is a nice feature I’ve used before
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you asking about the “link to a post” search as one writes a post when you want to add links to your previous posts?
-
No, it’s the “copy a post” under the “writing helper” feature. However, I just tried it again and now it’s back to working. Thank you anyway for responding!

Try taking out part of the title when you do your search. That happens to me too (blank search results when I paste the entire title) so I just pick out 2-3 words from the title I want when I do a search. Does the trick!

The reference in the OP is to this feature > Copy a Post
Copy A Post lets you duplicate a post, including the title, contents, tags and categories, so you can start a new post without having to re-enter tags, categories and formatting.Re: WordPress.com search missing posts
The search engine only indexes the body text of blog posts, pages, and comments. The blog name, post titles, and post/comment author names are not indexed. -

I’m finding it hand for a series of posts I’m doing on the same topic where every post is formatted similarly. So, it’s nice to just copy a previous post and make updated changes to it.
