  Why can’t I copy what I’ve written in TextEdit and paste in my blog?

  How are you trying to copy and paste? I do it all the time from textedit without a problem. Tell us what procedure you use.

  I type my potential post into textedit and then highlight what I want. I go to Edit > Copy. Then I go to WP and to a blog post (new or old). Go up to Edit – but paste is not highlighted so I can hit it. Help. Please.

  Click on the HTML tab in WordPress. Click inside the post box where you want to put your text. Press Ctrl-V on your keyboard. Or Cmd-V with a Mac.

  You can also right click inside the post box and then select “Paste” from the drop down menu.
