Copy Blog Setup/Theme from One to Another

    heyas;

    i have decided to split my blog into two sections, bloodsongtermagant and bloodsong13t. i just added the latter to my account, and i can export/import all my posts from one to another… but what i really want to do is copy the theme settings, custom colours, widgets and their settings, and pages. ie: make the layout identical. (uh, automatically. lol!)

    is that just not do-able? thanks!

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Please post the active link to the blog(s) in question starting with http:// when you post to this forum. That way we can immediately click them and that’s a real time saver.

    I’m sorry but that’s not possible.

    You will have to recreate your settings. The easiest way to do that is to open the dashboard on each blog in separate windows and then work on a setting group at a time.

    For custom background color, go to that page on each blog and then copy the colors over. If you are using a custom header image or custom background image, those will have to be uploaded to the new blog just like you did on the original.

    For any text widgets you have, open them in the original blog, copy out the code, then paste it into a text widget on the new blog.

    Add and arrange the widgets and then duplicate all the widget settings for the new blog.
