Copy in post should be in default/ appears in another font
-
Although I use the theme’s default button , part of the text appears in times roman. I removed that copy and entered it, made sure it was still on default and saved. Nothing changed. What do you suggest (this is the sticky post a the top of the home page). Thanks.

Hi there!
It looks like you have a bunch of extra code in the text editor in your post. To make sure that your post is formatted and styled correctly, can you make sure to use the Paste as Text button when your copying and pasting from other sources?

What font are you trying to get your post to appear using? The font set in your Customizer?

Hi Shawn,
Thanks for the quick follow-up. Yes, I use the font in the customizer (default). I typically write my post in Word so I can proofread it before dropping in a post. (Writing directly in the post leads to more errors.)
Maybe that is the issue. However, this is the first time such an issue has popped up.
I appreciate the tip and will give it a go.

I took the copy out and dropped it in per the directions you sent. For some reason, it did not work. I must being doing something incorrectly.
What do you think, Shawn?

Hi Catherine,
Shawna is out for a few days so I am taking a look at her tickets. I’m so sorry for the delay!
I just took a look at your site and for the first few posts at least, everything is in a nice and uniform sans-serif font. Did everything start working for you on your end, or do you still see Times New Roman sprinkled in at certain points? If so, could you give me a specific post where it’s happening so I can take a look?
Thank you much!

Hi Mighty WP,
Are you an action hero? ; )
Thanks for checking in. I have no idea what I am doing. Until my last post or two, I was dropping Microsoft text into box. No problem until the last few posts.
I am not a techie! So I read that I should put text in Notepad and then move that to editor page and insert.
Shawna provided a link to the WP step-by-step info on this subject. I do not think I did this correctly.
If I enter text directly into new post/Editor, will it convert to the appropriate font?
My other site (catherinehamrick.com) has the similar problem.
Thanks, Catherine

BTW I must have touched something, but all the fonts corrected when I was jumping in and out of Editor. I am not sure what happened–as if by magic. Thx, Mighty WP.

Not an action hero at all, though maybe I should hang out near a nuclear reactor or something. One can hope. ;)
But I’m glad to hear that it all worked out for you OK! I hope you have a great week.
