  I want to download my media library on my Free WP website (Free Plan) to my computer. It seems you can’t add plugins to your website if you are using a free plan.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  “It’s not possible to download the media library as bulk from a WordPress.com site to a storage area such as cloud, but as long as your site is set to public, any media files should be moved over when you import the file to another WordPress.com site or your self-hosted WordPress.org site.

  You can do it as following:

  1) Tools -> Export in your WordPress.com dashboard to download an XML file of your blog’s content. Please refer to this link: http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/

  2) During the import process, you would be given the opportunity to have your attachments (images) imported, too.
