Copy One Blog's Widgets To A New Blog

  Copy One Blog’s Widgets To A New Blog

  I can copy one blog’s Categories to a new blog by using Export then Import; the new blog then has all the categories previously set up in the old blog.

  Is it still not possible to do the same with Categories; one must set up each Widget separately in the new Blog and then cut & paste any text/data.

  And, if it still is not possible how do we get such a (export/import) function added to WordPress functionality?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  That is an issue with the core WordPress.org software.

  WordPress.org has an ideas page where people make suggestions and I found an import/export one that may include widgets here: http://wordpress.org/extend/ideas/topic/exportimport-wordpress-configuration-file

  WP.Org is ‘considering.’ As to how long before they resolve…
