  Hi,

  I am trying to copy a chart from Excel and paste it onto a new post. I have done it many time in the past (until last November) in the following way : copy from Excel, paste as picture into Word. Copy from Word and paste into my post using Shift + Control + V. This no longer seems to work. In fact, whether I copy a chart or anything else from any source, the Shift + Control + V function does not give anything.

  Hi! You’re copying and pasting a picture, essentially?

  For what it’s worth, I can paste copied images, but I don’t use shift; I’m not positive its usage is standardized (edit, confirmed: ctrl+shift+v means a lot of things in different apps.) Our computers are different, but for example, adding shift on my system pastes into a Chrome window as plain text, and I’m not sure how an image would be included in that.

  Can you try using just ctrl+v without the shift?

  And if that works, have you considered copying a cropped screenshot directly from Excel to your clipboard, and pasting that? Here’s how, if you’re interested. And in case you ever need it, here’s how to copy a section of the screen on Mac, and to put it in the clipboard, add CTRL.
