COPY & PASTE POSTS "WITH" PICTURES FROM A BLOG TO ANOTHER
-
I used to be able to do a “Select All” & “Copy” of a post from my French Blog and go “Paste” it in a new post in my English Blog and it included all the content and the pictures and the links. That way I only had to translate my text and my post was done. Now, I do the same thing, but it doesn’t include the pictures. Since my English Blog doesn’t have the same Gallery as my French Blog, that means that I would have to re-import all of the pictures and re-insert them in my post, which is a drag.
Why has this changed?
It was working fine before! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thank you for your link, but it doesn’t solve my problem. I don’t work with Word. I have 2 blogs, one in French and one in English. What I have been doing for the last 2 years is write my post on my French blog (In my Edit Post window) and then just copy/past it, with ALL of the content in my English blog Edit post window and just replace the French text with a translation. All the pictures with their links were copied without having to re-import, re-insert or re-link.

Thank you for trying to help!
I’m not sure I know how to subscribe to the thread as you tell me to do. Can you tell me how to do it? It’s my first time on a forum…
Thank you!

We have changed some of the functionality of the post editor, including adding the ability to drag images from your desktop directly into a blog post. This may have altered how your copy/paste works.
If you want to copy and paste text from one blog post to another and retain images, you can do so by copying the post as it appears in the Text editor. That will preserve the links to the images as hosted on your French blog.
If you wish the images to appear in the media library of your English blog, you will need to upload them separately.

Hi.
That is what I tried to do, but it didn’t copy neither the pictures nor the links, only the text.
Do I have to copy in a different way than teh usual copy/paste? -
If you copy the text in the Text editor of your original post, you should have HTML code. That code can then be pasted into the Text editor in your new post, and all links (including links to images on your initial French site) will be preserved.
