copy paste URL for video from youtube
-
Every time I copy a url of our you tube video to link area it will not upload to the website? What do I do?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I suggest you scroll down to the youtube troubleshooting section:
Make sure the YouTube link is not hyperlinked.
Make sure to place the YouTube URL or shortcode on its own line. This means there should be no character or whitespace before or after the URL/shortcode.

This is the youtube shortcode for that video below. Change nothing in it at all. Copy and paste it all onto a single line.
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3s-ITP7s1Y&feature=youtu.be]refer to http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/#embedding-with-a-shortcode

Thank you. I have tried that and still not working. I just am stuck. This is the first time trying to do these types of things. I am sure it is on my end.
-
I am coping and pasting the URl and what you sent me and it doesn’t appear on my website/blog when complete.
-
It works properly on my test blog so that means you did not copy the whole shortlink including the [square brackets] and paste it onto a line all by itself in the body of your post. All you do is copy this:
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3s-ITP7s1Y&feature=youtu.be]and paste it on a line all by itself yin your post. That’s it.

Ok got it. I wasn’t copy and pasting in the body of the post. I was going to the link category and putting in the URL. So thats it! Thanks alot. Pretty easy I guess ; – )

Lots of things that drive us cray when trying to figure them out prove to be easy when someone else helps. Best wishes with your blog. :)
P.S. I recommend using the step by step tutorial Staff have linked to the bottom of your admin page at http://learn.wordpress.com

Thanks again. I was wondering if you could help me once more. I am trying to add a paypal donation button here and I am doing again what I think I am suppose to do. I have tried it in the body of the post and also on the link and it is not appearing. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Yes: go to the main forum page and do a search for “Paypal button” and you’ll find this has been answered lots of times. I answered it twice today already.
-
ok I found some info and decided to just copy the link on your explanation page of the button I wanted and copy and pasted it to the page on wordpress. So donation button now appears, but when I click on it, it doesn’t take me to the pay pal site. It doesn’t do anything. Isn’t it suppose to?
-
You have to follow all the steps in the Support document to attach it to your merchant account at Paypal. Do you have a merchant account at Paypal?
-
Yes I have a merchant account and created the button in paypal and did everything i believe it told me and word press info told me but when I go to paste the link in the body of the page, and update it, it only shows a code. Now when I copied one of the wordpress button codes it appeared but it didn’t connect with paypal. So not sure what is next?
-
The link for paypal is active and takes you to the paypal site, but I can’t get the button to appear. How do I do that?
-
-
After putting button there I followed these instructions- but when the button is clicked it still doesn’t make it live?
13.Next, you need to add a link on your image. Copy the link provided in the Paypal Email area from Step 6 on this page. Click the image in your visual editor, then click the link icon and paste the PayPal code into the Link URL field.
And that’s it! Preview or publish your post, and test your button to ensure that it’s working properly.

I have put it in link and in body of post and either way it does’t work. Is text editor when you click link?

I see it on your Donate page but it’s not working. Did you post the PayPal URL into the Page title there? I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.
