Copy/Pasting between paragraph blocks loses text formatting

  I’ve noticed over the last few weeks that when copy/pasting text between different paragraph blocks within the same post, the formatting (bold, italics, links, etc.) gets lost and it comes out as plain text. This seems to happen intermittently, but it used to never be an issue. Is there something in the content of a block, or in a specific browser/version, that could be causing this? What’s a good workaround? It’s getting tedious to have to keep re-applying the same formatting every time I move text around within a post.

  After some more experimenting, I’ve noticed that I can copy/paste formatted text from outside WordPress (e.g. copied from some other website) into a paragraph block and it keeps the formatting, and I’ve noticed that I can copy/paste formatted text from within my own post to the end of a paragraph block, and it keeps the formatting.

  Where the formatting seems to get lost is when I copy/paste from one paragraph block to the middle of another paragraph block.

  You mustn’t copy the content of a block but the complete block an sich.
