Hiya
Is there in the links section a link where you can put the copyright symbol on yourblog, so no one can take your material please?
I dont fancy haveing to go through all my posts telling everyone its copyright.
I thought there may be a something in the links section that you could put over, like you can do with texts etc things?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

@Sharon
No there is no such “link”. However you can place a simple copyright notice in a text widget in your sidebar. It’s very easy to do.
`Copyright © 2010 All Rights Reserved‘If you wish you can choose one of these copyright alternatives instead > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2008/10/07/how-to-copyright-your-digital-works/

You own the copyright on your content when you post it. That doesn’t place any technical restriction on anyone copying it, though.
I agree with tt: if you want a copyright notice, a text widget is the logical place for it.

Hi Andrew,
I agave a small notice in a text widget at the bottom of my sidebar. The notice is linked to my copyright Page. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/copyright/ -
Thanks guys, yeah I sort of had a feeling of that Andrew, however, I have had bad experiences in the past, where i have written something down, and it has still been stolen, so i have had always had the C there to be on the safe side?
Is this on the link ok, I have done it at the top near my title and also on the article itself….but I dont fancy doing that on each article….? So I presumed the C at the top would do it. But I do like the thought of having ‘All right reserved there too :D

Aswell as writing in a text widget about copyright, you can also add a Copyscape banner in a text widget, which i have done, and there you can also check if any of your content has been stolen. I despise people without minds of their own who steal copyrighted works!!

We cannot access the HTML in our templates, let alone edit it as all of those using the same theme are in essence using the same template on this multiuser blogging platform. Therefore we display copyright notices in a text widget in our sidebars.
We can simply place:
Copyright © 2010 All Rights Reserved in a text widget.
We can register copyright licenses with either creativecommons.org or MyFreeCopyright.com or creators.icopyright.com. We can then display these license images in our sidebars in either a text widget.1. Copy the HTML code.
2. Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets
3. Drag a Text widget out of the Available widgets box
4. Drop the Text widgets into the Sidebar box
5. Click the top right hand corner of the Text widget to open it.
6. Paste the HTML code into the Text widget.
7. Click “Save” and Close” at the bottom of the Text widget.
8. View the front page of your blog and the copyright symbol/notice should be there. If you prefer you can create a static page for displaying your copyright and then link to it from “Copyright © 2010 All Rights Reserved ” placed in text widget in your sidebar.

hi Siarna, me too, I hate people who steal ideas, I have had that done to me twice and its not funny :( I always credit people when I use their work, in fact I ask first!
Timetheif – thankyou once again for your contribution :D I think I prefer the ‘Copyright © 2010 All Rights Reserved’ is that able to be put in the main header do you know (I have currently my name and the C symbol.

Is there a way, I can do a very small headline (Under the world in general one) and have the copyright saying there :Copyright © 2010 All Rights Reserved’
I tried at the side of my name, and although the ‘C’ looks ok that didnt, and when I put it on the tagline it all looked odd, but wondered if it would be ok as a REAL small lettering under the World in General bit?
I have currently got in my side bar in a text widget :)

It’s up to you. What I see in the title field is this: Sharon Harvey Writing page ©
My thoughts on the world in general ‘Copyright © 2010 All Rights Reserved’Most bloggers here choose to place a copyright notice in a text widget and display it in the sidebar. Some use one of these three options (creativecommons, myfreecopyright, creators.icopyright)
http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2008/10/07/how-to-copyright-your-digital-works/Three points:
(1) Posting a license or notice is not required. No matter which of these you choose to use, you hold the copyright for your own creations, even if you do not create a license and even if you do not post a notice.
(2) Posting licenses and/or notices does not deter all content thieves.
(3) Content theft is common and every blogger must be prepared to deal with it when it happens by filing a DMCA complaint with whichever web host is web hosting the blog that has the stolen content in it so it is removed. -

Using HTML code. The easiest way is to compose a draft post and once it looks right, just click to the HTML editor, copy all the code, and paste it in a text widget.
