Copy Rights and Creative Commons License

Well, I am sorta wondering if my adding the Creative Commons License was a smart move or not. On my home page here I make sure I give credit to the owner(s) of any images I use in my posts. I make it absolutely clear that I give credit where it’s due and take a lot of pride in producing some really neat posts in the interests I have.
It’s a lot of work especially when it takes a couple hours to reformat many images from my hard drive and screen capture programs I use and then put them in my slide shows. So, the question is, am I covering my work as well as protecting the copy rights of others work even when I give credit where its due??http://virtualvisuals.wordpress.com

Have you researched what Creative Commons actually means? You do not, for instance, have the authority to extend YOUR license to any of the CC licensed materials you’ve used. And if the materials you’ve used have not been CC licensed and you don’t have written permission, then you are in the wrong about using them anyway.

Ok I looked at the page describing the different licences. would I be wrong in using the most restrictive one on my one page of my slide shows???

Are they your original images? If it’s your original material, you can choose whichever license you like. I generally use Attribution Non-Commercial for mine.

On that page yes they are my own images. I worked really hard to get it set up and just really want to protect myself and WP by following the rules ya know. I hope as well as you can help me to understand what I can or cannot do, thanks so much again Raincoaster.
