copying and pasting a page entry into a blog entry
-
I accidentally wrote a lengthy post that was saved as a page instead of a blog entry. I can copy it from the page location, but it won’t let me paste it into a new blog entry. I don’t want it as a page, I want it as a blog entry. Do I have to retype the whole thing?..
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What do you mean “it won’t let you” paste it? What error do you get? Are you using IE perchance? Try in a different browser and see if that works.

I did the same thing however I left it there but want it now as a post and it’s dated from Aug of last year. Can I move it to a post and keep the date of Aug 2010? If so please explain how. It would be really out of place at this point but I don’t want to lose the info I wrote. Thanks

What is the exact problem? What happens when you try to paste it? And always, leave a link to your blog starting with http so we can look at it to see what’s going on.

I haven’t tried to paste it yet. If I won’t be able to keep the date, I don’t want to move it. My blog is http://lifealongthegulfcoast.wordpress.com/. The Nature Notes page is the one I want to change to a post among the other posts and keep it chronological. Thanks

You can paste it and keep the date. Edit the date in the sidebar to the write of the Write Post box. Click Schedule and THEN click UPdate or Save or Publish.
Pages aren’t chronological in the first place, so I’m not sure I understand the significance, but it’s easy to edit dates anyway.
