copying content

    I don’t mean someone else’s, I mean my own!

I am posting an interview tonight. There will be several over the coming months. As they scroll off the screen, I would like to copy them onto a page to make them more permanently visible. Together, they would become subpages of a main page. (If I just put them as pages to start with, people might miss them.)

Did I remember reading that Google penalises people who duplicate content? Would it be best to leave the original in the archive (so that any permalinks remain intact) or delete the post once it’s moved?

Grateful for any views from people who know how these things work. Thanks!

  • Here’s what Matt Cutts says about duplicate content on your own site:

    Duplicate content question

In short, it shouldn’t do any harm to have 2 or 3 copies of something on your own blog.
