copying doc with picture
-
I wrote my latest post and inserted into the document a picture. When I copied the doc and pasted into a new post, the picture was not there. I must not be doing something I should, but I don’t know what that is.

Re-reading, I’m not sure that’s the question. It sound like they inserted a picture into a post, then copied the post but the picture didn’t copy with it.
I’m really not sure what the question is right now.

Oh! I didn’t read it that way ata ll. I thought you were on the right track above. well, let’s see what the response is so we can help sort this. -
My bet is on they wrote a Post using another editor like Word – inserted the picture in the Word document then pasted the Word document into a new Post.
But as noted by you two – a bit more info is needed to give the person accurate help.

auxclass is exactly right. The post was written in MSWord. I inserted the picture into the Word docx. I copied the docx. and pasted to the “new post” page. No picture.

That’s right. It’ll NEVER work.
Either use an offline blog editor like Blogdesk or Windows Live Writer OR write directly into the blog itself and upload the images via the media uploader.

+1 for trying out Windows Live Writer.
