copying my whole wp site

  i wish to abandon my old wp site but keep its content together with comments. my first idea is to change the URL by initializing a new wp site under a different user name, then copy the content there from the old site. is it possible to do it easy and fast? is there a better way of changing my link and keeping its content?

  Yes, there is: going on your old blog and saving a file with your content, and then uploading that file on your new blog. You can do this using the export and import, respectively, from the Tools section on your dashboard menu. Here’s the pretty explanatory support page guide.
