Copying pages including content
-
I am trying to create an archive of some of my pages. I have an archive blog http://wgccgolfersarchive.wordpress.com/ Into which I have copied, via the export option, pages from past years blogs. However when I did this I noticed that some pages were missing from the copied Blog. I noticed that I could create a new page and then Copy from an existing page. I tried this but although the page appeared to have been copied, none of the contents had. The contents comprise links to pdf files from my Media.
Please help. I find trying to archive material in WordPress is extremely difficult. Does anyone know of an easy way to transfer pages from one blog to another, “Archive” blog? My current Years Blog is: http://wgccgolfersnotices.wordpress.com/
Happy New Year

Yes. You can use the export and import function. Go to Dashboard > Tools > Export
http://wgccgolfersnotices.wordpress.com/wp-admin/export.php?type=exportYou can create one XML file containing your posts and comments for you to save or import into another WordPress blog. See: http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-between-wordpress-com-blogs
You can also create smaller XML export files for:
Posts
Pages
FeedbackThen you can import them. http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/

Thanks. already downloaded the xml file, it did not include all of my pages so I wanted t add the missing ones. I could not see how to export individual pages, only date ranges. I thought that using the Page Copy facility would work, it did not
