Copying posts in the new WordPress format

I’ve been resisting the switch to the new posting experience (new for probably the better part of a year now? Something like that?) as I write a daily classroom blog to recap daily activities for my students. I’ve long relied on the ‘copy a post’ feature in the old ‘writing helper’ section of the ‘new post’ page, so that I can keep copying the same format of blog post from day to day. In the new editor, however, I can’t see the option to copy a post anywhere, nor can I turn on any sort of ‘writing helper’ (as a Google search led me to believe I could do.) Help!

You are reporting known issues in the new editor. I suggest you use the classic editor.

You cannot deactivate the new Beep Beep Boop editor but you do not have to use it. For locating the ways and means of accessing the legacy or classic pages for creating posts, editing posts, and for viewing stats see here > Navigating the Classic WordPress.COM interface http://onecoolsite.wordpress.com/2015/04/05/navigating-the-classic-wordpress-com-interface/

On the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
To create posts in the classic editor for you that link is

    https://mszerovhs.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php

On the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts one can hover over any post title and click the Edit link. and proceed with editing.

No, I know that I can use the old editor, it’s just that periodically I get switched over to the new editor and have to reroute as you suggested to get to the old editor. This seems silly, no?

Staff removed the convenient link to the classic editor in March of 2015 and they refuse to provide it again. Please use the instructions I provided above to get to the classic editor.
