Copy/pasted WordPress links to my blog suddenly not working.

I have a recipe blog here at WP. This problem just started this week and it is random (only 3 occurrences, so far). Other recipes and associated WP links are posting just fine. I re-posted a very popular recipe to two different Facebook pages I have content author access to, I copy/pasted this recipe link yesterday: https://buttoni.wordpress.com/2009/08/27/mexicali-spaghetti-squash/ to share on both Facebook pages. At both FB pages Facebook pops up the error pop-up box that says “there is an an “unsafe” link in your post, showing a link that appears to be truncated right after the 2009 in the link. Well I know better. When users click on my post link, they get a slightly different error screen the displays the full (not truncated) link. But then, if they click on the “Follow Link” button, it will go on and take you to the correct recipe at WP. I have reported the problem 3 times to FB help in the last 2 days, but a reply will be slow and if typical, useless. Have there been other reports of this bizarre behavior between FB and WordPress just this week? Because all 3 recipes that have been tagged by FB as unsafe links, are posts that have been re-posted there multiple times this year with THAT very link and this “unsafe” tagging has never happened before. EVER. I even went so far as to open up the recipe’s page source code and take a look. Although I’m just a lay person that knows nothing about code, on no line did I see a link reference that wasn’t the full link.
Short link is also not accepted without said error box popping up. I went out to Bitly.com for an “independent short link and that too is rejected as “unsafe”, so once a post is tagged unsafe by FB, there seems to be no fix at all. Please help, because if I can’t reliably post recipes with valid links, there’s no point in having a Facebook existence.

Look at this URL please https://buttoni.wordpress.com/2009/08/27/mexicali-spaghetti-squash/
    Note the “s” https://
Now look at this one http://buttoni.wordpress.com/2009/08/27/mexicali-spaghetti-squash/

Staff are implementing https:// security protocol on all .wordpress.com URLs. Stop copying and pasting. Instead type the http:// URL.

Well, deleting the “s” may work, but the post is “locked up” with the FB tag and when I attempted to edit out the “s” this morning on that post, it still triggers off the FB error response. Maybe FB has to fix that for me. I eagerly await the the Staff response.

BTW, the instructions in that article for Firefox management make no sense for the screens I’m seeing in Firefox. Need more detail on what to do on the Advanced, Certificates, View Certificates screen. I see no way to add one More steps in the directions for Firefox would be very helpful. Hope this screenshot is viewable at your end, but what tab would I use? what to enter? These steps would be helpful for non-techie people like me.

    Hi there!

I just tried sharing this post of yours on Facebook: https://buttoni.wordpress.com/2009/08/27/mexicali-spaghetti-squash/

It was able to share it, and click the link from that Facebook post to your blog post, without any errors. It looks like Facebook may have already fixed this based on your reports. Are you still having trouble with this?

The problem was off and on Sunday. Seems to have stopped yesterday, but not sure Facebook is who fixed it. I went into my WordPress settings and turned off the extra HTTPS security on my Admin Page; also made sure I deleted the “s” on every recipe link yesterday. So the fix may just be turning off that feature at WP in my case. Really not sure, but I can live without the slowdown that WP feature was causing me anyway. I had no idea my noticeable slowdown was caused by having it turned on until I turned it off. :) I thank you and Timecop for your help. Happy Holidays to you support folks. :)
