copyright

Hi
Could one of you kind wordpress experts please share knowledge regarding copyright in regards to blog content (text/idea based, not image). There is much information about this subject but I can’t find a definitive answer. I believe that if you add a copyright use symbol and or notice of terms & conditions it covers the issue?
Does anyone know whether using ‘icopyright’ free plugin is useful. I am in the UK and using Tritan Lite theme.
I don’t want to get too complicated on this just want to protect content and if content is used by others for it to be done transparently and in a generous manner.
Much appreciated. I am a complete novice as you can see.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The definitive answer is that copyright law applies equally offline as it does online. (1) So don’t use anything you do not have the creator’s permission to use in advance of using it, and if you do use it (2) follow their terms of use. However, content theft is rampant.
