    I am posting my original photographs and I am concerned about my copyrights and potential downloads of the pictures. Is there a way to protect my photographs from external downloading or ‘saving as’?

    Hi there,

    The only way to prevent your photos from being downloaded is to not put them online at all. At most you can pro-actively assert your intellectual rights, take action if they are violated, and make it as hard as possible for the latter to happen.

    So, follow the suggestiont on the page linked above. Especially, watermark your images, and only upload lower-res images to your site as those are not easy to re-use. Having a copyright notice on your site doesn’t really help, but at least if you have that no one can use the excuse that they didn’t know.
