I guess we’re not going to agree on this, but to me.. stolen implies you’re being deprived of something.
If I took your car; you’d find it hard to drive around.
If I copied your car; we’d both have cars.
At present, no car copying machines exist. However, copying text from websites is something we can do.
They’re linking to your blog — they’re not trying to do anything malicious. Why can’t you enjoy that?
Google has also made a copy of the text in your blog — http://64.233.169.104/search?q=cache:flUTcPLLCvkJ:zeynepankara.wordpress.com/2008/06/15/an-open-letter-to-a-father/+site:http://zeynepankara.wordpress.com/+open+letter&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=us&client=firefox-a — am I to assume that you will be filing a similar takedown notice to Google? Yahoo? Microsoft?

Perhaps you can explain how someone making a copy of your blog post is stealing?
Google has done it. Is Google stealing from you?
-
Some points.
I never respond to any comments left on my blogs. There are enough ways to get my attention :)
http://jaynelsonmanela.wordpress.com/ has a warning
On the original post the 2nd item is a spammer. They really ARE stealing your work. We can’t stop them but you should listen to Akismet and delete that pingback.

I think it is. Both of them list the text in full, both of them link to your website, and both of them are ways for people to find something you’ve written.
One is a publicly traded corporation, the other is an individual who’s actually read the post.
Yet you treat them like a criminal.

“Easy Sell A Home » Blog Archive » Sell this house!”
Spam. 100% spam.
Please delete and check for any others similar – go to their sites and see what they are doing.

Mark, thank you… But I didn’t understand the second paragraph:
“On the original post the 2nd item is a spammer. They really ARE stealing your work. We can’t stop them but you should listen to Akismet and delete that pingback.”Please explain a little simple. My English… :(

easysellahome.com is listed on your blog.
That is a spam blog. Please just delete links like this – they are totally bad. -
Mark, I have an Akismet icon on my page. I use it. But first, I didn’t know what was it and I had some spam comments at the beginning.
Now, what will be to my stolen post???
I reported it to Admin too…

The blogger has a warning, when they get in touch I will advise them to remove the post.
Given that because of spam blogs many people think it is perfectly normal to copy complete posts I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt before charging in and suspending the blog.

Yes, dlager, that was the thing what I mean, when I said “It is not the same thing”. Thank you.
-

i totally agree that this is fully stolen. let me put some context in here. someone else is using *your* work to increase their own blog’s worth (whatever that may be), traffic and exposure. let me also use another example: if a blog about dieting decided to use one of my posts on nutrition, it would be *bad* publicity for me, given that i write about science news and i do so for an audience of children and teens. i don’t want the *affiliation* with a weight loss blog. it has negative implications for me and represents something i do not support.
all that aside even, it is an author’s right to choose how his or her material is represented and where they want it represented. your written material is not ‘stand alone,’ meaning that how it is marketed and presented colors how the audience views you. that marketing is fully your choice and right.
