Copyright and Credit in footer
-
Hi there,
If it’s possible, I’d like to add a short piece of text to my footer area alongside the WordPress credit. It would be a copyright notice and a credit to the designer of my site logo. If I create a text widget with that info, would it be possible to use CSS to add it to my desire place on the website?
I have a Premium plan, and the theme I’m using is Dara. Many thanks.

Hi dorkymum
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to modify the footer credit with the Premium plan.
However, you can place your copyright info for your logo anywhere else on your site but not with the branding of WordPress.com.
Only the Business plan gives you the ability to remove WordPress.com branding and replace it with your own.

Hi dorkymum,
You can add a text widget in the footer with the information you want.

With the premium plan you get an option to add custom CSS, so yes you can use CSS and move it around a bit.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/css-basics/If you are really comfortable with CSS you can also use psuedo element after/before to add the information using CSS.

Hi @dorkymum, @terrybrownell’s solution will work for you, but I would add one additional declaration to it, like this.
.site-info:after{ content:"Copyright 2017 - Design by T Brownell"; display: block; }
