Copyright in footer

  I am using the Twenty Ten theme and I want to add a copyright to the footer. I can’t figure out how to do so. I don’t see a widget for it. Can you help?

  Hi Monica,

  You can use the Text Widget to add a copyright notice to your sidebar.

  Here is an example text you could use as Copyright notice:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/prevent-content-theft/#include-a-very-clear-copyright-notice-on-your-blog

  Monica,

  You should be able to add this copyright to your footer by adding a Text widget to one of Twenty Ten’s footer widget areas.

  Here is how it could look on your site:

  • http://i.wpne.ws/U87D

  Of course, you’re welcome to change that copyright, or make it longer as I mentioned in my previous post.

  To get started, please go to Appearance > Widgets in your dashboard, and drag a new Text Widget to one of the Footer widget areas:
